Around 5:30pm this evening French Village Fire was dispatched to a residential BOX ALARM in the 42XX block of Highland Road for a reported car fire inside an attached garage. Chief 2800 responded and found a working car fire inside the garage. Engine 2811 arrived on scene and immediately stretched an attack line to the garage. 2811’s crew was able to make a quick knockdown holding the fire to a box alarm. Rescue 2810 and Ladder 2829 also responded and assisted in overhaul operations and ventilation of the structure. Due to a quick response from fire companies and a fast knockdown of the fire there was no fire damage to the structure. We would like to thank Abbott EMS for providing fire stand on scene.
